Below is a resulting work and which became longer than what posting would allow (several Pages worth), therefore; I've made a Google Doc where it can be read: here (Linky) ^^^^^^^^ Enclosed are views from both sides, quotes from posters and a few suggestions to make EVE better. I elaborate on technical achievements of CCP done behind the scenes in plain English so people can get some answers as to why Incarna was so underwhelming and try to create common ground from the arguments of both sides and viewpoints and throw in some of my own thoughts and opinions. It's a decent enough read if I do say so, I urge anyone to at least skim through it, particularly CCP. It uncomplicated, direct and probably reiterates a lot but I hope it's useful/helpful to someone as it'll help create a better understanding.
If you like it or it's been helpful to you let me know, it's always nice to have feedback. If you want to understand CCP better have a read. CCP if you want some helpful suggestions and constructive feedback do take a look, there's no flaming involved.
-on a side note, I am disappointing with CCP, I never really have been to a point worth mentioning before.

Originally by: Mr Abstoss Still no response from CCP. Seems like they're having a nice weekend out and about. Coolio.
Dudes, I must admit, that I doubt, that we can change or do anything with our opinions on the forums. If CCP actually cared about us, they'd have had responded by now.
I think, the only thing we can do now is taking action. Not in terms of protests in Jita and Amarr, but keep your chars logged off. Do something else, keep peak useres online low.
Agreed, I also think there's a possibility that there are those CCP that actually care about us (the player base and our opinions) and are duking it out with upper management, we need to keep giving them reasons and support that back them up if they are advocating for us, like John Turbefield.

I'm sure a train wreck of customer care like this is seriously good news on new upcomming games and business partners?
Not to mention Aurum and the so called "noble market" doesn't fit anywhere within the story of EVE and New Eden or the mechanics of the game. CCP might as well remove the intro to EVE Online altogether.

Yeah I'm sure Sony had a hand in this somewhere along the way.

I've been playing this game for 5 years and am just as fascinated with it today as i was on day one. Ive been a pirate, a griefer, a mercenary, and now the leader of a large null sec alliance. Top to bottom, there isn't much in EVE i havn't done.
That brings me to whats going on here today. I've always supported CCP through the good and the bad as its always been my opinion that they've had EVE's best interest at heart in all their decisions. I can no longer say i believe this to be true. The amazing sandbox that you created (and we all love) is now in jeopardy because of greed and the bottom line. The prices on the NeX are absolutely outrageous. I don't have a problem with MT, in fact i support it for vanity items ONLY. However, you must understand the community you are marketing to. Were a bunch of geeks who don't give a flying f$%# about designer boots...
$19 for a pair of pants?? $60 for the monocle??? 95% of us would be hard pressed to spend that much for an in game item that we actually considered "cool". Now, on the other hand, if these items cost say $1 each, how many do you think you would have sold so far? thousands? tens of thousands? half a million??? Take a quick look at apple's app store and tell me what the most popular paid for apps are and how much they cost. While your at it you should maybe do some research into what a "micro transaction" is by definition. You guys totally missed the mark and need to fix it.
Walking in stations has been a long time waiting and i feel will be a great success given time and development. please don't spoil what it can be with the bulls*#t you've been trying to force down our throats here. EVE is what it is today because of its unique approach to the MMORPG paradigm. We love that you can't max your character out in 2 weeks like WOW. We love that it takes years to amass the wealth and power to put yourself on top. Most of all we love the sandbox that WE are in control of. Don't take these things away from us.

Originally by: Lakuma CCP's mission is to attract and retain customers by providing top quality online entertainment. CCP does this by establishing and nurturing a trust relationship with customers both in terms of quality of content as well as quality of service. CCP encourages respect, dialog, interaction and cooperation on a deeper level between its employees and customers than is common in online games. By this and through this CCP provides a unique way for improving the quality of its products and creates an inspiring and challenging environment for talent to thrive. We care more. We work harder.
CCP is not about making copycat products with compromised quality. CCP is about making dreams become a reality. -From the CCP Corporate Website
They must be referring to some other CCP, because I do not see this CCP doing that, I do see an attempt being made to make overpriced fancy pants commodities from fleeced customers. This smells of Sony styled tactics.

What he said, why add to the click fest?
I'm one of these long time forum readers, rarely/never poster types, and no doubt there are many like me. My subs run out in less than two days and right now i'm not prepared to add to it as much as i'm not prepared to compete with rich kiddies with more money than sense. I spent a long time learning the skills I know, a long time grinding faction standings so I could have a jump clone. It doesn't matter why I did these things, the fact is I did do these things because that's the game I chose to play and I wanted these things in the pursuit of enjoyment so I could play the game how I wanted.
Now you aren't even denying that some jumped up rich kid and/or bored rich person can potentially equal me in a matter of minutes because he has more money than I do. Why should I spend another penny with you guys, I was loyal to you when I handed over my cash details, and now you don't even have the decency to repay that loyalty by providing us with a definitive answer.
Maybe we are a minority, and chances are that for every one of us that quits three more will sign up, but out of those three, two thirds will probably leave because they can't compete with the one third that have a fatter wallet.
I don't think the mass unsubs will change a thing, there are too many who just don't know or just don't care, but have some gad damn decency and repay your upset clientele with an answer so we can either walk or stay, after all we have handed over many of our real life work hours in order to pay for yours.

Quote: Financial crisis -- Two of Bj÷rg=lfur's companies, Landsbanki and Straumur, left the Icelandic people with several billions of dollars in debt, when they went bankrupt following the Icelandic Financial crisis. He has been heavily criticized for his actions leading to the 2008û2009 Icelandic financial crisis.
Phew! Luckily he only has 35% and not 51% right guys?
And why would CCP have to milk us? Their profits have increased by 1.2million in the last year! From 245k to 350k subscribers since 2008!
Original article here http://www.mbl.is/vidskipti/frettir/2010/04/30/hagnadur_ccp_eykst_um_1_2_milljonir_dala/
Therefore I can conclude that CCP is only including microtransactions because we, the players, want them. Thank you CCP. I will now resubscribe.
I would say most people may not mind them, I personally do not know anyone that actually wants them, $1.2 Million is a pittance when you're paying to run an MMO, CCP bought new servers to fight lag, they updated Python code, they're developing Dust 514 and that will need it's own servers as well, plus there's monthly bandwidth which can cost in the millions per month for MMOs. I can understand why CCP is doing this, they're strapped for cash and need to make some solid extra revenue quickly to get back in the black, but the way they're doing it may be good for their wallets but it's bad for the game, bad for their reputation and generally bad for the customer experience because EVE is different and that's what people want to keep.
I've seen some subs here with 8 characters, that's $120 a month or $1440 a year on a game from a single individual, that's almost unheard of and yet it's commonplace with EVE Online for people to have multiple character subscriptions.

Lag got worse. I believe "upgrade" may have been "cost save".
To get a lag free account youll have to pay real $$$ for that lol
They switched to Windows Server instead of Linux, EVE Online Server side started with Linux, even the UI looks and feels like linux, EVE Server was written in Python, not C or C++. Linux is harder to use it's less user friendly but can be optimized more, Windows is easier to use but can be optimized less because it offers less direct control and changes.

They were added as an item sold by NPCs and then, a few expansions later, converted to something made by players.
I'm not going to whine until someone proves that the AUR items will actually be better than the existing ones and that they will completely bypass the player market forever.
...but people won't listen. 'Cause I'm not going to be extremly loud about my opinion. Just this one post. 3.
Why? Because it increases market demand when the item is needed to succeed. So of course the bankers will do it.
Have you looked at who is running CCP?
Yar.

Please read it again.
Have you not also seen the changes to the structure of the game engine to allow for all these things to be monitized?
Have you not seen features being removed so they can be added again later as MT?
The story is kinda complex so I won't and probably can't build the complete picture for you. Especially if your frame of mind is to never believe it regardless.
so....
You should write a blog in the forums citing all the changes from when they started to the latest change then.
